Easy Shrimp Fettucine Alfredo

Ingredients

  • 3 tbsp 3 butter

  • 2 cloves 2 garlic, minced

  • 1 lb 1 shrimp, peeled and deveined

  • 1.5 cups 1.5 heavy cream

  • 1 cup 1 grated Parmesan cheese

  • Salt and pepper to taste

  • 12 oz. 12 fettuccine pasta

  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Directions

  • Cook the pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  • In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute, until fragrant.
  • Add the shrimp to the skillet and cook until they turn pink and are cooked through, approximately 1-2 minutes per side. Remove the shrimp from the skillet and set aside.
  • Pour the heavy cream into the skillet and bring to a gentle simmer. Cook for 2-3 minutes.
  • Reduce the heat to low. Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese until it melts and the sauce thickens.
  • Season the sauce with salt and pepper to taste. Add the cooked fettuccine and cooked shrimp to the skillet. Toss everything together until well coated.
  • Serve the hot, garnished with fresh parsley.
