Ingredients

  • 2.5 oz Cognac

  • 3 Dashes Angostura bitters

  • 1 Cube brown sugar

  • 1 tea spoon cold water

  • 1 oz Absinthe

  • 1 lemon peel

Directions

  • Make sure your serving glass is cold and add the Absinthe in.
  • Swirl the Absinthe to coat the walls of the glass.
  • In a mixing glass add your sugar, bitters and water.
  • Press the sugar with your muddler until it starts dissolving.
  • Add the cognac.
  • Top the mixing glass with ice and stir well.
  • In a separate shot glass poor your Absinthe from your serving glassware after you give it another swirl.
  • Double strain the mix in with no ice.
  • Squeeze the oils from your lemon peel on top of the glass and balance it on the rim.
