2.5 oz Cognac
3 Dashes Angostura bitters
1 Cube brown sugar
1 tea spoon cold water
1 oz Absinthe
1 lemon peel
Directions
- Make sure your serving glass is cold and add the Absinthe in.
- Swirl the Absinthe to coat the walls of the glass.
- In a mixing glass add your sugar, bitters and water.
- Press the sugar with your muddler until it starts dissolving.
- Add the cognac.
- Top the mixing glass with ice and stir well.
- In a separate shot glass poor your Absinthe from your serving glassware after you give it another swirl.
- Double strain the mix in with no ice.
- Squeeze the oils from your lemon peel on top of the glass and balance it on the rim.
